What's happening in Canada now

April 2026: The Liberal Party passed a resolution to support a social media of 16 in April 2026.

May 2026: Provinces like Manitoba and BC stepped up to voice support.

June 2026: The government is expected to table online child safety legislation soon.

The evidence is shocking across measures

Who we are

We're Canadian parents, with diverse backgrounds from academia and technology markets to civics. Volunteers driven by love for our kids and our communities.

We believe childhood is worth protecting.

That means taking a comprehensive approach to online safety, including a social media age minimum of 16.

So we're making noise.

We've met with more than 70 MPs, and connected with dozens of experts and organizations along the way.

The era of "let's study it more" is behind us. Now we need to be heard to turn discussion into action.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward the ads and campaigns that put this issue in front of Canadians who care.

Join us and help raise our voices.

Our ask

  • A minimum age of 16 for a social media access (i.e., an account)

  • An assigned commissioner with robust enforcement mechanisms and authority

  • Mandatory age-appropriate design for all users under 18

We know that one policy measure isn't a silver bullet solution to all online safety issues.

But it's a meaningful part of the solution. Because a complex problem requires a layered approach.

Just like with road safety, where we design safer cars, require driver's education, model responsible behaviour, and set age minimums.

Digital safety deserves the same multi-faceted approach: safer design, digital literacy, model responsible behaviour, and age guardrails.
